Printek Tractor Shuttle Home Switch, FormsPro 4603

The Printek Tractor Shuttle Home Switch is a repair part for the FormsPro 4603 Wide Carriage Dot Matrix Printer.

Replacement Procedure for the Tractor Shuttle Home Switch is:

1. Unplug the power cord.
2. Open the printer case.
3. Using the shuttle position adjustment tool from the tool kit, move the shuttle mechanism completely to the front of the printer. If any of the tractors are currently in the "loaded" position, this will require moving the mechanism to the rear, and then to the front.
4. Remove the two wires with the push-on connectors from the switch.
5. Remove the two screws and nuts that fasten the switch to the shuttle bracket and remove the switch.
6. Mount the new switch. Make sure that the button of the switch is toward the top so that it is aligned with the long slot in the bracket. Do not over tighten the screws, as the switch may be damaged.
7. Reconnect the two wires to the switch. The black wire attaches to the top terminal of the switch, and the brown wire attaches to the bottom terminal. The center terminal is not connected.
8. Check and/or adjust all three tractor positions.
