This serial dot matrix printer from Tally provides a perfect forms printing solution for a variety of requirements. It has an uncommonly straight paper path for pummeling through multi-part forms with smooth, unattended regularity. When the demand is for 6-part forms the T2045 is no stops, no jams, no errors! A unique “head up” feature even senses the perforation on those difficult forms and automatically accommodates.
Specifically designed for ease of use and operation, the T2045 incorporates fully automatic forms handling features such as Quick Tear, Gap Adjustment, and Paper Parking, Load and Path Selection. Paper cutter option available.
Now get blazing print speeds from 540 CPS/450 pages per hour on the T2045 for higher volume forms printing. Speed is further enhanced through a bi-directional Centronics Cassette: 15 million characters (draft) parallel interface, which also enables printer-to-host communication.Technologically advanced ballistic 24-wire hard metal needles produce true letter quality for text and 15 industry standard bar codes - including POSTNET. The rugged, reliable T2045, now with a user replaceable printhead, has Character Density to ensure legible copies on all parts of a form, along with a hefty workloads of 18,000 pages per month.
The printer comes standard with a rare feature in printers of this class: auto switching parallel and serial I/O’s. For IBM environments, the T2045 can be configured in four ways: Parallel and Twinax or Parallel and Coax interfaces, with or without IPDS, also auto switching! IBM midrange or mainframe users have complete access to all T2045 features, while printer sharing with PC’s or networks is achieved without user intervention. Ethernet (Novell and TCP/IP), RS-422, Current Loop and DEC emulation are also available.
