Tally T6140
The Tally T6140 line matrix printer achieves reliable high quality printing while achieving the lowest cost per page output at blistering speeds. Our fully refurbished printers are sold with a warranty and are all qualified for maintenance. Parts & Supplies are also available for this model as well as repair services.
T6140, Mach Speed
The T6140 and T6141 line printers exemplify years of experience together with cutting-edge innovation. The focus of much of that innovation has been speed - and Tally is pushing the envelope. At 1420 lines per minute in text and 180 inches per minute in graphics mode, the T6140, T6141 offer the best price/performance in their class. Armed with Tally's exclusive Page Segment Architecture the intelligent T6140, T6141 organize data in page format before printing. Eliminating the need for forms reversal, the end result is blazing throughput. Top speed is also achieved via constant density fonts from 5 to 17.1 CPI. In real terms, these advantages can mean up to 55,800 POSTNET labels per hour!
T6140, A Five Star General with Heavy Forms The T6140, T6141 take command of six part forms via a straight paper path, a patented high inertia shuttle mechanism, a precise forms thickness lever, and four tractors - two above and two below the print line. Four tractors provide forms tensioning and enable stable forms handling, while a passive forms stacker ensures orderly stacking of heavy invoices, shipping bills, etc., for unattended, jam- free operation.
T6140, Major Graphic Languages at No Extra Charge
The T6140, T6141 come standard with Printronix Graphics Language (PGL), QMS Code V, and Tally Industrial Graphics (IPG). Also included is POSTNET bar code at near text speeds for attractive postage savings. And Tally's exclusive Read/Right bar code algorithm produces top quality bar codes with no loss of throughput.
Connectivity That's Earned Our Stripes
At 55 and 52 dB(A) respectively, the T6140, T6141 plug and play in a variety of environments. Auto switching serial and parallel interfaces are standard, permitting sharing by two hosts. IBM connectivity is offered through an SIO-Systems Interface Option which allows either Twinax or Coax (sensed automatically) and parallel connectivity. Fully integrated Ethernet for either Novell Netware or TCP/IP is also available. And the T6140, T6141 possess eight popular emulations.
T6140, Waging a War on Down Time
The stored energy hammer bank technology of the T6140, T6141 is inherently energy efficient and reliable, and these printers serve a virtually unlimited useful life. At those times hammer bank maintenance is required, replacement hammer/coils come in highly reliable modules for minimal impact to the budget or production time. And now program updates are performed quickly and easily via flash memory through the firmware I/O.
